Tibesti Expedition
Expedition Tibesti was conducted to explore the Tibesti Mountains in northern Chad. The expedition took five months in which Jeremy, with the help of Teda tribesmen, crossed one thousand miles of the Sahara desert to the volcanic mountain range by camel in order to document the prehistoric rock art of the region. Dodging tribal violence, land mines, dizzying desert temperatures, thirst, hunger and bandits, Jeremy returned home with data that can be used by the Bradshaw Foundation and the British Museum to protect and better understand such invaluable artefacts that chart the evolution of human society from its infancy in the hunter-gatherer societies that created these rock engravings that vividly depicted their way of life.
